 |
Iain Jamieson: Chairman
Iain started his career as a ski and sailing instructor in the private sector. He then worked with a local authority for 27 years and was Regional Organiser for Outdoor Education from 1982 to 1995.
Iain initially established Outf!t-Moray and is now the Chairman with responsibility for overall strategic direction.
He holds an MBA from The Robert Gordon University and is qualified in a number of outdoor activities. He is a keen alpine and telemark skier and a Coxswain with the Moray Gig. |
 |
Ibrahim Park: Outdoor Project Manager
Ibrahim is responsible for the overall planning, co-ordination and management of the project. He is also involved in the delivery of programmes, activities and courses. Ibrahim has an HND is Leisure Studies, an SVQ in Social Care and is involved in the training of professionals who encounter challenging behaviour. Ibrahim is also qualified in a number of outdoor pursuits. When not having adventures with his family, Ibrahim enjoys many outdoor activities. His main interests lie in mountaineering, climbing and all things mountain biking. |

Ross Boardman: Outdoor Project Leader
After becoming an outdoor instructor eight years ago, Ross originally moved to Scotland for a summer season back in 2001 - but fell in love with the place and hasn't left yet! For the past five years, he's lived and worked all over Scotland at a variety of different Outdoor Centres and is passionate about outdoor education and the environment.
Outside of work, Ross loves nothing more than spending time outdoors, exploring uninhabited islands by sea kayak, hurtling downhill on a mountain bike or making fresh tracks with his snow board.
Ross joined Outf!t Moray in August 2006 and is responsible for developing and delivering outdoor programmes to young people at Outf!t. He has a great empathy with young people and has a broad range of outdoor qualifications. |
 |
Richard Nawrocki: Finance Manager
From a business background, Richard used to run an Import/Export Company with an office in Warsaw, Poland. As a result, he has brought his communication and logistical skills to the fore with Outf!t. Richard is responsible for keeping the charity afloat by taking care of the continual funding applications and looking after the project’s budget. The challenge with the budget is twofold. Firstly as the project is busier we employ more instructors and they then clamour for more kit! Most days Richard is also our Nominated Duty Person (in case of difficulties or emergencies) for all instructors out on activities.
Formerly a keen powder skier until a serious knee injury robbed him of that pastime, he now enjoys walking in the hills of Moray and the Highlands. |
 |
Mike Smith: Outdoor Project Leader
Mike has worked with young people in the outdoors for longer than he cares to remember. He moved to the area from stints of work in France, London and Liverpool, and has been settled here for the past 9 years.
Mike's main activities are connected to the water, but he occasionally has been seen on both bikes and crags (but not together...) He joined the Outfit team as a freelance worker a year ago and now works three days each week, as well as teaching at the Moray Steiner School.
If you end up coming out with Mike he'll undoubtedly "nip ur heed" about the choices you make now affecting your future. |
 |
Steve Bate: Outdoor Instructor
Steve, originally from New Zealand has lived in Moray for the past 3 years. After spending years travelling the world he has also fallen in love with the Moray Coast line and Scottish mountains. Steve came on board as Outfit Morays first trainee and a year down the track we still cannot get rid of him. Steve now is running the Kit Store and Leading group sessions. Oh, and a part time tea maker!
In Steve’s spare time you can be sure to find him hanging off a rock face, out on his mountain bike, carving big turns on his snowboard or falling out of an open canoe with a big smile on his face.

Rosie Black: Environmental Education Tutor
Rosie has recently joined the Outf!t-Moray team, and as the Environmental Education Tutor is involved in developing and running the pilot programme Cre8.
Rosie developed a keen interest in nature and the environment whilst she was a young girl, as a member of a nature club. As a result of this, she went on to study Environmental Science at University, and in the six years since graduating has been heavily involved in environmental education, working as a Countryside Ranger and Field Tutor at various locations across Scotland.
Asides from wildlife watching in her spare time, Rosie also enjoys mountain biking, hill walking, skiing and yoga. |
 |
Caroline Saunders: Administrator
Caroline moved up to Scotland in 2005, after working in industry for 12 years in Nottingham. She decided to do something completely different with her life, and after taking a course in Outdoor Education at Moray House in Edinburgh, she now works part time for Outfit Moray, looking after evaluation, marketing and some general admin. She is also an Outfit volunteer, working with young people in the outdoors on Outfit’s Community Regeneration programme. In the outdoors, she enjoys climbing, walking, skiing and taking lots of pictures, and is a huge fan of chocolate and anything orange. |
