Outf!t-Cre8

Cre8 is the Outf!t-Moray environmental education provision and is a pilot scheme running initially until March 2008. If funding becomes available then it will become a significant programme in its own right.

Cre8 is targeted at primary school age children. It will also contribute to each of the other strands of Outf!t-Moray. The overarching themes of the environmental programme will be concerned with:

Sustainable living
Health and Wellbeing
Learning and Developing

This service is available during the school term, evenings, weekends and holidays during the pilot period and can include:

Single activities such as - pond or river dipping, rock pooling, sensory activities, shoreline activities, fungi, animal tracks and signs, plants / animals, environmental art, creating willow domes or creating nature trails.
In depth studies in local woodlands looking closely at trees, mini beasts, mammals, birds and human impacts.
Comparisons between ponds, lochs, rivers and the sea: what lives in each environment and how it has adapted to cope with different environmental conditions.
Conservation work in local school grounds - creating wildlife gardens, habitat piles, building nest boxes and feeders.
